Job Title: Digital Accessibility Business Analyst

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly collaborative and effective Digital Accessibility Business Analyst to support digital accessibility initiatives and compliance efforts. This role will focus on identifying and tracking accessibility deliverables, collaborating with stakeholders across departments, and supporting accessibility-related services and improvements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis within a technology environment and a working knowledge of digital accessibility standards and tools. This role plays a key part in helping refine business processes, align digital assets with compliance goals, and support enterprise accessibility initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate conformance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and usability standards.
Document business requirements, workflows, business rules, and process models using tools such as Visio.
Provide Tier II support for tracking and managing accessibility defects and issues.
Assist content managers in reviewing content collections for accessibility improvements.
Develop readiness assessments and generate associated reports and metrics.
Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to identify and align solutions with accessibility and compliance requirements.
Document and recommend improvements to business processes to support accessibility goals.
Review system change requests to ensure accessibility requirements are adequately captured.
Collaborate across development, design, and content teams throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Work closely with Accessibility Officers and other stakeholders on project tasks as assigned.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Working knowledge of assistive technologies such as screen readers, speech-to-text software, magnification tools, and input emulators.
1 3 years of experience in digital accessibility development and testing, including manual and automated tools.
Familiarity with Section 508, WCAG, and ADA compliance standards.
2 3 years of experience in business analysis, project coordination, or IT management roles.
Experience with requirement gathering, test case development, and workflow documentation.
Hands-on knowledge of content management systems (CMS) like Drupal and tools such as Editoria11y or SiteImprove is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Visio.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Highly analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or within project teams.
Note: This is a hybrid position based in Boston, MA, with the possibility of extending beyond the initial 6-month duration depending on project needs.
