Experience Level: 8+ years in data engineering and data warehousing, with a minimum of 5 plus years of hands-on experience with Snowflake and Azure Data Factory.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Incident, Service Request & Change Management

  • Act as the primary technical lead for all incidents, service requests, and change requests related to the Snowflake and Azure Data Factory (ADF) platforms.
  • Triage, prioritize, and resolve incidents and problems, performing hands-on root cause analysis and recommending permanent solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Lead the technical execution of service requests and planned changes, ensuring they are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager and client to manage the backlog of incidents and requests, ensuring critical issues are addressed promptly.

SLA & KPI Adherence:

  • Be directly responsible for ensuring all KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and SLAs (Service Level Agreements) for the Snowflake and ADF platforms are met or exceeded.
  • Monitor platform performance and resource utilization to proactively identify potential issues that could impact SLAs.
  • Provide data and insights for performance reporting to the Program Manager and client.

Platform Maintenance & Optimization:

  • Perform hands-on maintenance, including performance tuning of existing data pipelines in ADF and optimizing SQL queries within Snowflake.
  • Identify and implement platform-level improvements to enhance stability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage the configuration and administration of the Snowflake and ADF environments to ensure best practices are followed.

Hands-On Development for Enhancements:

  • Lead the technical design and hands-on development for new features and enhancements, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with the existing AMS framework.
  • Write, test, and deploy new data pipelines, data models, and scripts as required for approved change requests.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure all changes are well-documented and follow established standards.

Governance & Security:

  • Enforce data governance standards and security policies in a production environment.
  • Manage user access, roles, and permissions within Snowflake and ADF in a change-controlled manner.
