Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Kafka Administrator to manage, monitor, and optimize Apache Kafka clusters across environments. The role involves ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of Kafka infrastructure while supporting developers, data engineers, and business teams in leveraging Kafka for real-time data streaming and integration.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and upgrade Apache Kafka clusters, Zookeeper, and related components.

Monitor Kafka performance, availability, and capacity; troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Manage topics, partitions, consumer groups, and access controls.

Implement high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and replication strategies.

Perform Kafka cluster tuning, scaling, and load balancing to support business demands.

Configure Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, and Schema Registry for integrations.

Maintain and implement security protocols (SSL, SASL, Kerberos, RBAC).

Automate deployments, monitoring, and alerts using DevOps tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Ansible, etc.).

Provide 24/7 on-call support for production environments as needed.

Collaborate with developers and data teams for topic design, message retention, and throughput optimization.

Ensure compliance with data governance, HIPAA, GDPR, and organizational policies.
