Staff Software Engineer, Global Player Support - Player Experience Tooling Los Angeles, CA

Engineers bring deep technical expertise while embracing collaboration across multiple domains. They work with both emerging and established technologies to develop innovative solutions that tackle high-volume challenges and enhance user experiences.

As a Staff Software Engineer on the Global Player Support - Player Experience Tooling team, you will leverage your expertise in scalable service development and web best practices to create world-class support experiences for users worldwide. You will be instrumental in shaping the next-generation user-facing ecosystem, ensuring users receive the assistance they need-when and where they need it.

In this role, you will report to the team's Engineering Manager at our Los Angeles office.
Responsibilities
  • Lead initiatives to improve workflows powering support experiences
  • Collaborate across disciplines and engineering teams within Global Player Support and across the organization
  • Develop and review reliable, maintainable code while authoring architectural design documents
  • Implement and advocate for industry-standard best practices
  • Maintain a high standard of engineering excellence
  • Partner with the Product Manager to identify focus areas and deliver optimal solutions
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience as a software engineer building and operating large-scale systems
  • 1+ years of experience as a technical lead
  • Strong proficiency in Java and TypeScript
  • Expertise in web best practices (SEO, CDN, SPA)
  • Proven ability to define and advocate for a technical vision across an organization
  • Effective communication skills for conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Spring Boot and GraphQL
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and ReactJS
  • Familiarity with containerized development and deployment (AWS, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with headless CMS solutions like Sanity
  • Knowledge of CRM platforms like Zendesk
  • Prior experience with gaming platforms
