Job Title: AWX Administrator Network Automation & Cloud Networking

Location: Remote

Duration: Long term contract

We are seeking an experienced AWX Administrator to manage and optimize our automation platform for network configuration across public cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on expertise with Ansible AWX/Tower, network automation, and cloud networking. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation workflows that streamline network operations, improve scalability, and ensure compliance.

Key Responsibilities
1. AWX Administration
Install, configure, and maintain AWX/Tower environments.
Manage inventories, credentials, job templates, and workflow templates.
Monitor AWX performance, manage job executions, and resolve operational issues.
2. Network Configuration Automation
Develop, enhance, and maintain Ansible playbooks for network device configuration.
Automate network provisioning, updates, backup processes, and compliance checks.
Integrate AWX with Git repositories and CI/CD pipelines for version-controlled automation.
3. Public Cloud Networking
Design and automate network configurations in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Implement automated processes for VPCs/VNets, subnets, route tables, security groups, load balancers, and firewalls.
Ensure cloud network architecture meets high availability, performance, and security standards.
4. Security & Compliance
Implement and manage RBAC policies in AWX/Tower.
Ensure automation scripts adhere to security and compliance best practices.
Maintain audit logs, reporting, and compliance documentation.
5. Collaboration & Support
Work collaboratively with cloud architects, network engineers, and DevOps teams.
Provide technical guidance, training, and documentation for AWX and automation workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with Ansible AWX/Tower administration.
Proficiency in developing Ansible playbooks for network automation.
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, switching.
Experience with public cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure VNets, Google Cloud Platform networking).
Expertise in Python, YAML, and Jinja2 templating.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) is a plus.
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Preferred Qualifications & Certifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or operations, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation.
AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform Networking Certifications.
CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking certifications.
