Job Details

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions using SAP BODS and DQ functionalities.

  • Design and develop ETL jobs using SAP Data Services for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

  • Implement data profiling, data cleansing, standardization, deduplication, and validation rules using BODS DQ components.

  • Collaborate with data owners and business stakeholders to identify data quality issues and implement corrective solutions.

  • Work with data migration, data integration, and data governance teams to ensure accurate and consistent data across systems.

  • Optimize and troubleshoot BODS jobs for performance and scalability.

  • Prepare technical documentation including job design specs, test cases, and deployment guides.

  • Support system and integration testing and participate in UAT cycles.

  • Provide post-deployment support, monitoring, and issue resolution.

Required Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) ETL development, data flow design, job scheduling.

  • Expertise in Data Quality transformations data profiling, address cleansing, match/merge, parsing, and standardization.

  • Good SQL skills ability to write and debug complex queries.

  • Strong understanding of data integration, data warehousing, and data migration best practices.

  • Knowledge of data governance concepts and master data management (MDM) frameworks.

  • Experience with performance tuning and job optimization in BODS.

  • Familiarity with source/target systems such as SAP ECC, S/4HANA, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Good to Have:

  • Experience with SAP Information Steward or other data profiling tools.

  • Understanding of SAP MDG, SAP BW, or SAP HANA.

  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • BODS Certification or equivalent training.
