Job Details

The client is seeking an Information Security Analyst to monitor, audit, and protect systems containing confidential data. The role helps reduce risk by identifying security gaps, ensuring compliance, and supporting security policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor system security and report issues or improvements.

  • Work with internal teams to understand security needs and provide training.

  • Assist with security audits (e.g., IRS, SSA, FBI) and resolve findings.

  • Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and SOPs.

  • Recommend and implement security controls for new and existing systems.

  • Use security tools to detect vulnerabilities and ensure remediation.

  • Stay updated on security laws, privacy requirements, and best practices.

  • Mentor staff and support additional security tasks when needed.

Desired Skills

  • Strong knowledge of information security policies, tools, and standards (e.g., NIST).

  • Understanding of vulnerability scanning, authentication, and software security.

  • Ability to work with technical teams and communicate clearly.

  • Experience with security training and compliance documentation.

  • Preferred: Degree in security/technology, certification (CISSP), or network admin background.
