Overview:
The Business Systems Analyst will support testing and data conversion activities across several concurrent enterprise level banking migration projects. Working under the direction of senior analysts and project leads, this role contributes to system testing, requirements documentation, data validation, and defect tracking.
This position is ideal for an analytical, detail-oriented professional with prior exposure to system conversions, application testing, or data reconciliation within a financial or enterprise setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and execution of System Integration (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles under senior analyst supervision.
- Support creation and maintenance of test scripts, data mapping documents, and traceability matrices.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation between legacy and new systems following API, file, or batch runs.
- Log and track defects in Jira, collaborating with developers, testers, and business users to ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in requirements gathering sessions and update documentation as changes occur.
- Provide hands-on support during dress rehearsals, go-live weekends, and post-implementation review activities.
- Maintain accurate and audit-ready project documentation within team repositories (SharePoint, Jira, Excel).
Required Qualifications:
- 3 5 years of combined higher education and/or professional experience in business systems analysis, QA, or related technical functions.
- Exposure to software testing life cycle (STLC), UAT coordination, or enterprise system migrations.
- Basic understanding of data mapping, reconciliations, and system interfaces (APIs, file transfers, batch processes).
- Jira proficiency required; familiarity with Zephyr, ADO, or similar test-management tools preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- Experience supporting financial, banking, or enterprise migration projects.
- Familiarity with AFS, Broadridge, or document-management systems a plus.
- Working knowledge of Excel and data-validation tools.
Work Arrangement: Remote (U.S.-based) preference for Buffalo, NY or Pittsburgh, PA. Strong Remote candidates will be considered.
Duration: 12 18 months (W-2 only)
