Rate: $45/hr

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and writing various types of user documentation, including how-to guides, manuals, references, or instructions. This candidate should have strong communication skills which enable them to explain complicated concepts in a simple manner. This individual will also meet with customer representatives frequently in order to understand required content.

Responsibilities:

• Explain technical ideas in simple language
• Creating, developing, planning, writing, and editing technical documents including operational, instructional, maintenance, or troubleshooting procedures for various types of publication.
• Conduct interviews with engineers, technical staff, and stakeholders to gather data for documentation and research and synthesize technical information into manuals and/or web-based documents for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with the SMEs (subject matter experts) to ensure completeness and quality documentation.
• Apply judgement and expertise to recommend formats that meet technical and customer requirements
• Produce content that conforms to company documentation and quality assurance standards.
• Review and improve content, tools, and processes used for publishing
• Meet with customer representatives to establish technical specifications
• Create user documentation for a variety of material

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Technical Writing (creating, developing, planning, writing & editing)
• Experience in the technology industry
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to understand highly technical information
