JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: IT Contract and Procurement Specialist DURATION: Long term
Location: Austin TX - Hybrid

The IT Contract and Procurement Specialist will perform a variety of duties focused on coordinating, organizing, and analyzing IT procurement requirements across various departments or program areas. Key responsibilities will be to: provide high-level assistance and guidance to staff regarding IT procurement processes, budgets and the utilization of Texas Department of Information Resources contracts; coordinate, organize and analyze IT requirements from internal stakeholders; maintain comprehensive files and records to support internal and external audits. This position will also work with a wide range of stakeholders across the agency to assist and advise on procurements, grants, contracts, and develop and track the associated budgets and make financial projections. The ability to gather operational data necessary to tract project status will be required. This position will review time sheets and invoices against approved work orders and contract rates to prevent over-billing. This position will maintain a central, auditable repository for all contracts, solicitations, and approved work orders, and submitted time sheets.
