Who We Are:

The Spacecraft Development Department is a group of innovative engineers, program managers, and technicians developing unique spacecraft solutions for challenging space missions. We design and fabricate custom solutions to explore the boundaries of science or solve complex problems not yet delivered by industry using a variety of payloads.

Objectives of this Role:

  • Work in multidisciplinary project teams to support the development of cutting edge spacecraft.
  • Work in integrated project teams to support the full lifecycle of hardware development.
  • Collaborate with engineering team on design, assembly, integration, and test.
  • Support R&D and promotional efforts to develop and implement new technologies.
  • This is a local year-round part time intern position.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Assist to develop, draw, and analyze spacecraft and spacecraft components.
  • Support spacecraft system integration and test activities to include spacecraft function tests and environmental tests.
  • Document test activities in accordance with established procedures.
  • Participate in assigned project team meetings.

Requirements:

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 0 years: Must have experience in Solidworks and/or CREO.
  • Experience with ANSYS structural analysis software and Thermal Desktop preferred.
  • Hands on experience thru project work or internships with integration and test of mechanical systems is preferred.
  • Hands on experience with calibrated test equipment and test procedures preferred.
  • A valid/clear driver's license is required.
