Oracle RAC DBA with VERY STRONG GoldenGate Skills

 

Location – Dallas TX – Onsite

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oracle RAC Administration: Manage and maintain Oracle RAC environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Oracle GoldenGate Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Oracle GoldenGate for data replication, integration, and synchronization across heterogeneous systems.
  • Database Management: Perform database creation, backup and recovery, patch management, and upgrades.
  • Performance Tuning: Conduct advanced troubleshooting and performance tuning of Oracle GoldenGate components, including Extract, Replicat, Manager, and Data Pump.
  • Replication Solutions: Implement and manage complex replication solutions such as active-active and active-passive setups.
  • Disaster Recovery: Configure and optimize disaster recovery solutions using Oracle Data Guard and RMAN.
  • Security: Manage database security, user permissions, and implement disaster recovery strategies.
  • Cloud Integration: Set up and manage Oracle GoldenGate in both on-premises and cloud environments.

Required Skills:

  • Oracle RAC: Strong experience with Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters).
  • GoldenGate: Expertise in Oracle GoldenGate for data replication.
  • Database Administration: Proficiency in core Oracle database administration tasks.
  • Performance Optimization: Experience in database tuning and performance optimization.
  • Cloud Platforms: Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • PL/SQL Development: Knowledge of PL/SQL development and performance optimization.
  • Automation: Familiarity with automation scripting using Unix Shell, Ansible, or similar tools.
  • Administer and analyze business-critical production databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity.
  • Act as the primary DBA Lead and point of contact for customer IT teams, providing technical leadership and strategic guidance.
  • Own and drive incidents from identification to root cause analysis (RCA) and resolution.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute weekend changes and maintenance activities by leading an offshore DBA team.
  • Participate in customer architecture design, cloud adoption, and modernization initiatives.
  • Engage in capacity planning, performance tuning, and health monitoring of engineered systems and databases.
  • Contribute to backup/recovery strategies, DR planning, and security compliance.
  • Drive knowledge sharing, mentor junior DBAs, and foster a culture of continuous learning.
