Position Overview

As a part of the Ohio Business Gateway (OBG)application development team, the Technical Specialist will work as release engineer for the Gateway. Functions performed include creating and maintaining Git branch and merging to respective branches based on project needs, troubleshooting merge conflicts for resolution, creating new sandbox for project specific needs, seeding salesforce data to different sandbox using various templates based on the project need, migrating data from one sandbox to another using Data Loader; upholding quality gates in maintaining pull requests, ensuring code coverage meet percentage requirements; supporting the team during testing with the knowledge of change impacts on interfaces and components while troubleshooting; performing pre-release and post-release activities including back promotions to ensure proper synchronization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize Salesforce Data Loader for data imports, exports, and updates.
  • Manage work items, pipelines, and deployments through the Azure DevOps platform.
  • Implement and maintain Copado DevOps processes for Salesforce deployments, version control, and CI/CD automation.
  • Use Own Data Masking and Seeding tools to ensure secure and compliant test data in Salesforce environments.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational data governance and security standards.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of overall professional IT experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Administration, Development, and Data Loader.
  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps platform.
  • Experience with Copado DevOps for Salesforce deployment and release management.
  • Experience with Own Data Masking and Seeding tools.
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent technical study.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Administrator and/or Developer certifications.
  • Experience with Salesforce integration and API usage.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
