Role: Google Cloud Platform Production Support Engineer (12+ years experience)
Location: Remote (Occasional travel to Springfield, MO)
Only W2 role - No 3rd Party or C2C Candidates
Key Responsibilities:
End-to-end Google Cloud Platform onboarding, including foundational setup.
Design and implement highly available, disaster-resilient Google Cloud Platform solutions.
Optimize Google Cloud Platform spend through effective FinOps practices.
Support and manage Google Cloud Platform services including GKE, Cloud SQL, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Load Balancers, VPC Peering, IAM, etc.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance system performance using Google Cloud Platform Logging & Monitoring tools.
Must-Have Skills:
Deep understanding of Google Cloud Platform architecture: Resource Hierarchy, Networking, Security, IAM (including Workload Identity), Org Policies, DNS, Interconnects.
Strong hands-on with Google Cloud Platform services (GKE, Cloud SQL, Secret Manager, Firebase, Apigee, etc.).
Proficient in scripting (Python or Shell).
Strong experience with Terraform for IaC.
CI/CD experience Jenkins preferred (others like Cloud Build, ArgoCD, etc. are a plus).
Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork capabilities.
Comfortable working in a dynamic, globally distributed environment.
