Position: Product Manager (Finance)

Location: 3 days on-site Charlotte, NC

Duration: 6-18 month contract on W2

Pay Rate Range: W2 $53.13/hr, paid for hours worked

Job Description: Product Manager - Finance Team

Our client is seeking a Product Manager to support a team within Finance. This individual will bring a strategic mindset and passion for experimentation to work closely with Product Managers and collaborate with a variety of agile delivery teams, partners, and stakeholders across the organization. Employ product management and agile techniques to optimize products for our customers and help drive the delivery of outcomes to the marketplace through ownership of the product backlog inclusive of prioritization, transparency into upcoming work, setting of product goals, and communication to support shared understanding.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead complex initiatives including for new projects and enhancements.
  • Conduct research and analysis of complex data sources
  • Serve as an experienced advisor for profitability and capital/balance sheet-related matters, guiding leadership in developing business plans, requirements, product design, and implementation for complex needs.
  • Utilize SQL for data querying, manipulation, and analysis to ensure data accuracy and quality.
  • Create visually compelling reports and dashboards using Power BI for regulatory reporting and stakeholder communication.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data quality issues and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Communicate effectively and write detailed reports for regulatory submissions and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate and consult with managers, stakeholders, scrum masters, project managers, and delivery team to resolve issues and achieve project goals.
  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a mentor to less experienced staff.
  • Partner with subject matter experts within risk, finance, treasury, credit, and other functional and business support teams to problem-solve complex topics that drive consistency in the evaluation of customer profitability, estimated losses, and capital allocation, across various lines of business
  • Articulate product vision, define scope, prioritize backlog, establish goals, and provide direction for teams to design, develop, and deliver technology and processes for updating and upgrading technologies.


Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Product Management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.


Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in financial domain
  • 5+ years of FP&A experience, including understanding balance sheets, income statements, financial statements and profitability
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, Python, Excel to complete data analysis
  • Proficient with PowerBI
  • Ability to think critically and analyze change
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience presenting financials to senior leaders
