We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Transmission Line Engineer to provide advanced technical expertise and leadership in all aspects of transmission line design and construction. This role requires strong engineering knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines. You will serve as a trusted advisor to project teams, providing timely, accurate technical guidance while driving process improvements and mentoring less-experienced engineers.
Although the role is based in Juno Beach, FL, it requires the ability to work independently in a structured, focused environment. Candidates should be proactive, assertive, and team-oriented, with strong communication skills to ensure effective collaboration.
Job: Principal Transmission Line Engineer (TLSME)
- Location: Juno Beach, FL (Onsite)
- Duration/Term: Long Term Contract
- Deliver expert technical support to Project Engineering teams, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.
- Apply deep transmission line knowledge, engineering judgment, and teamwork to resolve project RFIs.
- Develop, interpret, and implement transmission line standards.
- Mentor and guide Project Engineers to strengthen their technical expertise.
- Identify and lead initiatives for process and design improvements.
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience supporting transmission line projects at 230kV or higher.
- Proven expertise in at least one transmission line discipline with eagerness to expand across others.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal), able to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
- Assertive, team-oriented mindset with demonstrated leadership qualities.
- Track record of independent decision-making and technical ownership.
- Experience collaborating with diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and urgency in execution.
Key Skills : Transmission Line Design (230kV and above), PLS-CADD / PLS-POLE / PLS-TOWER (or similar design tools), Electrical & Structural Engineering Fundamentals, Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration (Civil, Electrical, Structural), Construction & Field Support Experience
