Senior Project Manager - Data Center Infrastructure

The Senior Project Manager leads large-scale, mission-critical data center infrastructure projects from initiation through commissioning, with a focus on substations, wet/dry utilities, and power distribution systems. This role ensures all phases meet scope, budget, schedule, quality, and safety objectives while maintaining alignment with client technical requirements and reliability standards. Acting as the key liaison among clients, subcontractors, and engineering teams, the Senior PM drives project execution, risk mitigation, and compliance with energy, utility, and mission-critical standards. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in delivering complex power and utility packages within hyperscale or colocation data centers and contributes to advancing the company's Center of Excellence for infrastructure delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the full lifecycle of data center infrastructure projects, including substations, utility interconnects, duct banks, and site power distribution.
  • Manage project budgeting, procurement, scheduling (Primavera), and performance tracking to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Oversee coordination among civil, electrical, and mechanical contractors for integration of wet/dry utilities and critical power systems.
  • Serve as the primary client representative for all project phases, including design coordination, construction execution, and commissioning.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, and NFPA 70E, and uphold the highest standards of safety and reliability in mission-critical environments.
  • Provide transparent cost and schedule reporting to leadership while proactively managing risk, change orders, and quality controls.
  • Mentor project teams and drive PMO best practices through the company's Center of Excellence initiative.

Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience managing data center, substation, and mission-critical utility projects (EPC or owner's rep experience preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline; Master's preferred.
  • PMP, CCM, PE, or equivalent certification required.
  • Strong technical understanding of power delivery, utility coordination, and mission-critical infrastructure standards.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, estimating, and construction management systems.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
