Job Description:
Role: Accounting Assistant
Location: Rosemead, CA (Onsite)
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant with strong organizational skills and experience supporting general accounting activities. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent computer skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. This role involves performing daily accounting functions, supporting accounts payable processes, and assisting with reconciliation and documentation tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
General Accounting & Administrative Duties
- Perform general accounting tasks and support daily financial operations.
- Prepare monthly general journal entries accurately and in a timely manner.
- Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
- Assist in account reconciliation activities and support the general ledger team.
- Respond to internal and external customer inquiries with professionalism and clarity.
- Work on miscellaneous accounting and administrative projects as assigned.
Accounts Payable & Payment Processing
- Prepare vendor payments timely and in compliance with established payment terms and agreements.
- Maintain and update vendor master data governance documentation.
- Ensure proper handling and accountability of checks, including those requiring special pickup by internal clients.
- Support direct claim payment processes and other AP-related activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience supporting accounts payable, account reconciliation, or general ledger activities.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles, company policies, rules, and procedures.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
