Electrical Design Engineer

GeoLogics is seeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer to work with one of our national aerospace and defense partners based in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

In this role, you will work closely with electrical engineering staff or electrical designers to support one or more aspects of the Combat Vehicle design/build process.

Location: Onsite in Sterling Heights, MI

U.S. citizenship is required

Pay: $45.00 - $49.00 per hour on a w2 non-benefitted contract

Job Responsibilities:

• Generate and/or update engineering models, drawings, specifications, or other related documentation.
• Perform design and drafting of both electrical and mechanical aspects of electrical/electronic equipment using PTC Creo.
• Create designs and drawings of electrical and electro/mechanical components, harness assemblies, and installations using PTC Creo and Creo Cabling.
• Collaborate with Electrical and Mechanical design teams to develop and integrate complex vehicle systems.
• Aid in the documentation of new or existing 3D models as well as loading models to the document management system using PTC Creo.
• Work with vehicle subsystems, such as system architecture, cable interconnect diagrams, electronic and electrical enclosures, modeling and documentation of military systems and vehicles.
• Gain hands on combat vehicle experience through review, installation, and/or testing.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Associate degree in a relevant, technical field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with electro-mechanical design/drafting, including:
• Experience with Creo CAD for modeling, design, and drafting
• Understanding of model and drawing generation utilizing Creo and Creo Cabling.
• Understanding of ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5 standards.
• The Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment for this position requires highly cooperative team working skills, as well as very good oral and written communication skills.
