The QA Lead will oversee the quality assurance strategy and execution for Manhattan Active WMS and its interfaces. This role involves leading QA efforts for end-to-end testing, system integration, and user acceptance testing across supply chain systems. This role requires a deep understanding of warehouse operations, WMS workflows, and enterprise system integration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Manhattan Active WMS, WMS interface testing, and a proven track record of leading QA efforts in fast-paced, cross-functional environments. Your ability to collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders will be key to delivering high-quality, scalable, and efficient software solutions that support business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the overall QA strategy for Manhattan Active WMS and its interfaces.
  • Establish quality benchmarks and KPIs for regression and UAT.
  • Lead the execution of functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Collaborate with business users, developers, and vendors to ensure end-to-end coverage.
  • Ensure reporting of issues between various QA tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr, Quality Center) and warehouse systems.
  • Oversee testing of integrations between WMS and external systems (such as IBM Sterling, SAP, and Manhattan SCI).
  • Manage the creation and execution of automated test scripts using industry QA automation tools.
  • Maintain clear documentation and knowledge sharing within the QA team.
  • Work closely with project managers, developers, and operations teams to understand enhancements and ensure full test coverage.
  • Maintain QA dashboards and present key test plans, test cases, and test results.
  • Generate detailed QA reports and track defect metrics.
  • Monitor application performance and logs, providing documentation as needed.
  • Collaborate with BA and Dev teams to update test scenarios based on functionality changes and specification.
  • Maintain test libraries, test data, and UAT processes for Manhattan Active WMS modules and interfaces.
  • Test WMS modules and features including APIs, RF functions, Putaway logic, picking processes, and label printing.
  • Conduct performance and load testing across site-specific scenarios.
  • Conduct UAT scripts, monitor issue closures, and work with release managers.
  • Support root cause analysis and debugging across test and live environments.
  • Validate automation tools where applicable (e.g., Selenium, Postman).
  • Maintain test data for different business use cases, locations, and WMS zones.
  • Continuously monitor test coverage across modules and environments.
  • Trace testability back to detailed functional, tech, and design requirements.
  • Work closely with DevOps teams on release planning, versioning, and environment refreshes.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, grooming, etc.).

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in software QA with at least 2 years in the lead role.
  • 5+ years of experience in testing Manhattan Active WMS or other WMS platforms.
  • Experience in end-to-end functional, regression, and system testing.
  • Proven expertise in interface testing and supply chain system processes.
  • Experience with QA test automation frameworks and QA tools.
  • Proficiency in test data validation and backend testing.
  • Experience with integration tools (APIs, SOAP, JSON, Postman).
  • Strong QA documentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and release flow management.
  • Ability to manage and balance cross-functional priorities.
  • Agile/Scrum work experience with participation in sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • Solid hands-on experience in Manhattan WMS QA.
  • Familiarity with Manhattan Integration Framework (MIF).
  • Proficient in JIRA or relevant QA tools.
