Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Project Manager to lead the execution of a high-impact Product Profitability Initiative. This is a non-IT project management role focused on transforming manual, Excel-based financial reporting processes into a scalable, system-driven model. You will orchestrate cross-functional teams in Finance, Accounting, and Enterprise Data to deliver sustainable improvements in reporting, data quality, and process efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Project Execution: Plan, direct, and coordinate project activities, ensuring deliverables are met on time and on budget.
Drive Accountability: Relentlessly follow up with stakeholders, maintain a clear tracker of actions, deadlines, and blockers, and escalate as needed to ensure momentum.
Facilitate Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the point person connecting Finance, Accounting, and Data teams. Unify efforts across diverse stakeholders, aligning priorities and ensuring business buy-in.
Status & Communication: Deliver clear, concise project updates to the project sponsor and team leads. Translate meeting outcomes and complex project issues into actionable steps for all.
Optimize Processes: Work with subject matter experts to map, document, and improve workflows-moving from manual spreadsheet-based reporting to robust, system-driven solutions (Anaplan, NetSuite, Snowflake, Power BI).
Support Change Management: Champion new processes and reporting structures, reinforcing unified adoption and helping resolve resistance or misalignment.
Documentation: Ensure comprehensive project documentation and process guides are developed to support continuity and future enhancements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Project Leadership: Proven success delivering cross-functional business/process transformation projects, ideally in Finance, FP&A, or Data Analytics environments.
Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to hold teams accountable, resolve conflicts, and drive consensus.
Systems & Data Acumen: Comfortable working alongside teams using Anaplan, NetSuite, Snowflake, and Power BI. Able to "speak the language" of data and process, even if not building technical solutions.
Change Management: Demonstrated ability to manage change, influence others, and foster adoption of new processes.
Organization & Diligence: Detail-oriented with exceptional follow-through, time management, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to distill complex issues and present updates with clarity.
Technical Tools: Proficient with standard project management and office tools (MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing product profitability, financial reporting, or data/process improvement projects.
Familiarity with platforms like Mavenlink, JIRA, Salesforce, or Jellyfish.
Prior consulting or contract experience in a similar environment.
PMI or PMP certification preferred.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or related field.
8-10 years of relevant project management experience.
