By joining our Enterprise Services Domain, you will contribute to the development, deployment, and operation of commercial and in-house built software for monitoring and managing our worldwide fleet of satellites and ground systems.
Within Software & Platform central function, Our team is responsible for building and operating a suite of tools which house large volumes of data and making that data available for managing our ground systems and making operational decisions. The day-to-day
You will have the opportunity to work across a diverse set of products and problems from managing a large Kubernetes deployment to operating large data collection and storage systems and will participate in a company wide effort to consolidate data and monitoring systems.

Salary range
$135,500.00 - $214,000.00 / annually.For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $168,500.00- $252,500.00/ annually

The day-to-day
You will have the opportunity to work across a diverse set of products and problems from managing a large Kubernetes deployment to operating large data collection and storage systems and will participate in a company wide effort to consolidate data and monitoring systems.
What you'll need
- 10+ years Software Development / DevOps experience with C++.
- Familiarity with Python & Go, however experience in Java and Bash scripting are also helpful. We are a polyglot team so knowledge of at least two and willingness to learn other languages is a must
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerization is strongly desired
- Familiarity with running services on public clouds. Google Cloud Platform experience is a plus
- Familiarity with *nix operating systems and deploying / operating software on *nix based VMs and containers
- Proficient in building and operating CI/CD pipelines to deploy custom and open-source software
- Experience working in a SCRUM team and a geographically distributed / remote team
- Experience operating and troubleshooting big data pipelines and storage systems. BigQuery experience is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Humility, pragmatism, and the ability to listen are non-negotiable.
- Must be willing to be in an on-call rotation for production services. Typical rotations are 1 week in duration.
- Up to 20% travel.
- B.S. in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
