Job Details

Our client, a successful FinTech firm, is seeking a technical solutions engineer/integration specialist to support and onboard their growing client base. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of customer integrations with the firm s trading application, from onboarding through future feature builds. The ideal candidate is a versatile tech professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with experience in scripting and SQL. You should also be comfortable troubleshooting, configuring, and understanding back-end services and APIs.

This is a full-time, remote position, working UK hours. The firm does not yet have a UK office, so the role is fully remote, with occasional onsite client work (1-3 times a week).

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with clients to configure the platform with external systems (e.g., trading venues, client systems).
  • Handle custom integrations between client systems and the platform, gathering requirements, liaising with the client and team, and assisting with implementation.
  • Ensure timely delivery of client requests and provide day-to-day support and onboarding.

Required qualifications:

  • Technical:

    • Proficient in Python and SQL (with the ability to create queries involving selects, joins, and data aggregation).
    • Direct experience integrating with APIs (REST or gRPC).
    • Strong troubleshooting skills (e.g., tracing log files, resolving or escalating issues).
  • Non-Technical:

    • Located in the Greater London metro area.
    • Experience in institutional finance.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong time and task management abilities.
    • Self-starter with problem-solving skills and the ability to know when to seek help.
  • Miscellaneous:

    • 2+ years of experience in a related technical role (e.g., dev ops, technical support, integration specialist, solutions engineer, SDET, or similar).
    • Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in a technical field.
    • Available to work London/UK hours.

Nice to have:

  • Basic understanding of capital markets/trading.
  • Experience in a small to medium-sized company (preferred).
  • Experience interfacing with clients from both a support and technical perspective.
  • Experience in C# or Java.
  • Familiarity with server infrastructure support and PowerShell.
  • Ability to make independent, reliable decisions
