Title: SCADA/ADMS Support Engineer
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months
Description
We are seeking a highly motivated SCADA & ADMS Support Engineer to support daily SCADA updates within the Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) and manage model conversion processes in the Model Manager Application (MMA). This role requires hands-on experience with Unix commands, Oracle databases, SQL scripting, and troubleshooting alerts in SCADA and ADMS environments.
Key Responsibilities:
SCADA Updates in ADMS:
  • Execute Unix commands in Energy Management System (EMS) and Distribution Management System (DMS) to export SCADA definitions.
  • Looking for someone with GE eTerra experience. Building out and designing displays in eTerra
  • Upload SCADA definition files into ADMS Oracle database for validation.
  • Run SQL scripts to validate the uploaded data and compile results into reports.
  • Distribute validation reports via email.
  • Perform validation of newly created SCADA Savecases in ADMS, following predefined procedures. Model Conversion Process in Model Manager Application (MMA):
  • Monitor alerts and notifications related to MMA, including messages from Teams chat and system logs.
  • Provide Tier 1 support for MMA-related issues, troubleshooting common problems.
  • Escalate complex MMA issues to Tier 2 support and collaborate to resolve them efficiently. Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • Experience in SCADA, ADMS, EMS, or DMS environments.
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux commands for executing system operations.
  • GE eTerra
  • SQL scripting experience, particularly with Oracle databases.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze system alerts.
  • Experience with Model Manager Application (MMA) is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively communicate technical details. Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the utility or energy sector.
  • Familiarity with SCADA Savecases and data validation processes.
  • Understanding of model conversion workflows in ADMS.
