Description
We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Teams Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the development and execution of a comprehensive Teams strategy tailored to organizational needs. This contract position is based in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and will focus on driving collaboration, enhancing governance, and ensuring compliance within the Microsoft Teams environment. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in technical implementation, user adoption strategies, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver impactful results.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement a scalable Microsoft Teams strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
Establish governance policies for team and channel creation, ownership, and lifecycle management to maintain a structured and sustainable Teams environment.
Develop and enforce data privacy and protection guidelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Train and support employees in effectively utilizing Teams, including transitioning files from OneDrive repositories to the Teams platform.
Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure seamless integration of Teams with existing systems and emerging technologies.
Create frameworks for onboarding, adoption, and engagement to maximize the value of Teams across the organization.
Work with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and enable integration of Teams into departmental workflows.
Deliver quick wins through phased implementation while laying the groundwork for long-term optimization of Teams usage.
Monitor and assess evolving Teams capabilities, driving innovation and efficiency through continuous improvement.
Develop scalable solutions to support internal and external Teams users, enhancing workflow automation and insights.
Requirements
Proven track record of designing and implementing enterprise-level Microsoft Teams strategies.
Expertise in transitioning data from OneDrive to Teams with knowledge of best practices for file management.
Strong understanding of data privacy and governance protocols, including handling sensitive organizational information.
Excellent communication skills to train and guide employees on leveraging Teams effectively.
Experience creating governance frameworks and scalable solutions for diverse Teams users.
Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment with internal stakeholders and technology partners.
Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to deliver immediate results while planning for long-term impact.
Proficiency in Citrix Technologies, Cloud Technologies, ERP Solutions, Firewall Technologies, Active Directory, and other relevant tools.
