Solution Architect PeopleSoft Financials to Workday Financials Migration
Experience Level: Senior/Principal
Reports to: ERP Program Director / Transformation Lead
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Solution Architect to lead the strategic architecture and solution design for clients transitioning from PeopleSoft Financials to Workday Financials. This role is responsible for aligning business goals with Workday capabilities and orchestrating the end-to-end technical and functional roadmap for financial transformation.

The ideal candidate will bring deep ERP expertise across both legacy and cloud platforms, strong financial systems knowledge, and a proven ability to guide cross-functional teams through large-scale transformations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Define and own the solution architecture for PeopleSoft to Workday Financials migration engagements.
* Collaborate with business leaders, finance stakeholders, and technical teams to define transformation goals and system requirements.
* Lead architectural assessments, gap analyses, and fit/gap evaluations between PeopleSoft and Workday modules (GL, AP, AR, AM, Projects, etc.).
* Design scalable, secure, and compliant solutions across Workday Financials, integrations, and data migration architecture.
* Define Workday configuration strategies and advise on best practices for module design, security, workflow, and reporting.
* Oversee data conversion, integration, and reporting architecture in collaboration with data and integration leads.
* Translate business requirements into technical designs, ensuring alignment with Workday product capabilities and financial regulations.
* Provide strategic input to roadmap development, cutover planning, and phased deployment strategies.
* Serve as the primary solution advisor to the client throughout the transformation lifecycle.
* Work with vendors and system integrators to validate technical designs and manage dependencies.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor s or Master s degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* 10+ years of ERP experience, including at least 3+ full-cycle PeopleSoft Financials implementations and 2+ Workday Financials deployments.
* Deep understanding of PeopleSoft Financials modules (v9.1/9.2) and Workday Financials architecture.
* Strong experience with integration design (e.g., Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, REST/SOAP APIs).
* Familiarity with data migration best practices, legacy system decommissioning, and financial data reconciliation.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience guiding cross-functional project teams.
* Experience in consulting or large enterprise environments is highly desirable.
Preferred Certifications:
* Workday Financials Pro Certification
* Workday Integration Certification
* TOGAF or other enterprise architecture certification
* PMP or SAFe Agile (optional but beneficial)
