Networks Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Network Engineer in Westlake, TX.

Duties Include:
* Network Engineer will rapidly triage and troubleshoot complex network and infrastructure issues across cloud and on-prem environments
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents and improve system reliability
* Utilize infrastructure-as-code tools and automation frameworks to streamline operations
* Analyze and resolve issues related to IP routing, firewalls, load balancers, proxies, DNS, and cloud networking
* As a Network Engineer, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of monitoring and alerting systems
* Participate in change, incident, and problem management processes following ITSM best practices
* Stay current with emerging technologies in networking, cloud, and automation

REQUIREMENTS:
* 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, networking, and security
* Strong programming and automation skills, particularly in Python
* Proven experience with cloud networking and security in AWS and/or Azure
* Deep understanding of virtual network constructs, DMZ architectures, and PaaS integrations
* Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
* Solid knowledge of IP routing, firewalls, load balancers, proxies, and DNS
* Familiarity with ITSM frameworks and practices (Change, Incident, Problem Management)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
