Position: Supplier Quality Engineer 2

Description:
How You ll Make an Impact
Supplier Monitoring: Perform supplier oversight and product inspections for regular project execution to ensure compliance with specification. Inspection types include visual, dimensional, weld, coating, traceability, quality records, Functional Acceptance Testing (FAT), etc. FAT examples can include transformer routine & type tests, MCC production & type tests, etc.
Supplier Audit Program: Perform routine audits according to supplier risk categorization and audit program. Audits are according to ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001.
Nonconformance Management: Identify and initiate containment on any identified non-conformances. Follow-up with corrective action as necessary.
Supplier Development: Support supplier evaluation based on regular analysis of supplier quality. Initiate and implement supplier quality improvement programs, quality root cause analysis and definition of appropriate risk mitigation measures at the supplier.
Controlling and Reporting: Generate periodical quality performance reports and ensure appropriate improvement actions are initiated.
Typical equipment of suppliers in scope includes MCC, Switchgear, Switchboards, Panel Boards, UPS, Transformers, Static Excitation Systems, Static Frequency Converters, Batteries & Charging Systems, E-houses, Cables, and Bus Ducting.
What You Bring
You have a bachelor s degree or higher in electrical engineering or a similar discipline. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
At least 10 years preferred professional experience in supplier quality management, quality management, or engineering related to MV and LV electrical systems and components. Position Class can be adjusted based on the candidate s experience and qualifications.
You have experience performing supplier evaluation, qualification, product/ process qualification & technical supplier development to provide a global, demand covering, quality assured and cost-effective supply base for responsible suppliers.
Extensive knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, UL and IEC.
Extensive knowledge and experience in auditing. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification preferred.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 35% of the time. Must have or be able to obtain a passport.
