Job Details

The Bank of New York Mellon seeks a Senior Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer for its Pittsburgh, PA location.

DUTIES: Consult with internal business groups to provide high-level application software development services or technical support. Provide comprehensive senior-level technical consulting to IT management and senior technical staffs. Evaluate compliance with the organization's technology standards and program well-designed, testable, efficient code. Analyze, design and develop tests and test-automation suites. Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to satisfy requirements and solutions. Maintain software functionality and currency (technical debt and gain). Actively participate in code reviews and integrate software components into a fully functional software system. Apply security and privacy principles. Work with internal business groups on implementation of opportunities, challenges, and requirements of various applications. Analyze information and provide recommendations to address and resolve business issues for a specific business group. Guide and consult with IT management and technical staffs regarding use of emerging technologies and associated services. Participate in defining corporate implementation and integration strategies of new technologies. Complete all required mandatory training / policy awareness curricula on time. Use learning tools such as Pluralsight to complete both recommended and aspirational targets set in personal development plans. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and advocate for innovative, creative technology solutions. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, and ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or in a related IT occupation. Ten (10) years of experience must include: Designing and developing Shell Script for application health checks and application stop and start; Creating test suites for functional, regression, and performance testing to identify any test issues or errors, and triage the underlying cause; Installing patches, maintaining, troubleshooting, and testing SWIFT products including SWIFT Microgateway, API's, Alliance Messaging Hub, SWIFT Alliance Gateway, SWIFT Web Platform, SWIFT Net Link Linux platform experience, Hardware security Modules, SWIFT Alliance Access, and Crest; Utilizing SWIFT messaging structures, and SWIFT messaging protocols including FIN, InterAct, and FileAct; Leveraging App Dynamics, Moogsoft and Splunk for customizing dashboard and creating advanced search queries for log analysis, monitoring, and troubleshooting; and Utilizing Agile practices and methodology, and Program Increment (PI) planning sessions to drive cross functional collaboration and project delivery.
