Job Title: Web Architect (Onsite Interview)

Job Description:
A bachelor s degree or master s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or four (4) years of equivalent work experience is required. Relevant experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis when applicable.

The Department requires the following experience, skills, and knowledge for this position:
Experience working on multiple projects as a project leader or frequently as the subject matter expert;
Experience working on projects/issues of medium to high complexity that require demonstrated knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments; and
Experience with coaching and mentoring more junior technical staff.

Preferred Qualifications
The Department prefers the Candidate to have the following experience, skills, and/or knowledge for this position:
Proven experience leading large-scale digital transformation or modernization initiatives involving legacy system replacement;
Experience designing solutions in hybrid environments (on-premise, cloud, and integrate Software as a Service/Commercial off the Shelf [SaaS/COTS];
Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies;
Strong experience in Waterfall project management;
Expertise in web technologies such as JavaScript (React, Angular, Vue), HTML/CSS (Hypertext Markup Language/Cascading Style Sheets), REST Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Node.js, .NET, or Java;
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, or Google Cloud and their architecture patterns;
Deep understanding of data modeling, databases, and system interoperability;
Ability to develop scalable, secure, and maintainable web architectures across diverse technology stacks;
Experience creating target state architecture diagrams, transition roadmaps, and system interface designs;
Ability to evaluate and SaaS/COTS solutions into enterprise ecosystems;
Experience with application rationalization and technical debt reduction strategies;
Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, Quality Assurance (QA), business analysts, and product owners;
Experience in mentoring development teams and ensuring architectural consistency across projects;
Capable of presenting architectural decisions and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders; and
Strong vendor management experience, including assessing technical fit of third-party solutions.
