RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Houston, TX that is seeking a Desktop Lead. This role is responsible for supervising IT Field Support associates across multiple sites within a designated region. Serving as the primary escalation point for site-related IT issues, the Desktop Lead coordinates closely with the broader technology team to ensure consistent support and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage IT Field Support Specialists, including task prioritization, delegation, and progress monitoring
* Facilitate Agile practices such as daily standups and backlog management
* Provide coaching and conduct performance evaluations, both periodic and annual
* Deliver senior-level technical support to operating sites across the U.S. and Canada as needed
* Analyze and escalate recurring or high-impact issues; research complex problems and communicate updates to stakeholders
* Ensure accurate inventory tracking of IT assets within the region
* Maintain documentation for team processes and procedures
* Participate in hiring activities, including interviewing candidates and providing input on hiring, promotions, and terminations

REQUIREMENTS:
* 10 years of experience in IT or computer technology, including customer service and technical support
* 3+ years of experience in a leadership role, with proven experience mentoring and managing teams of 15 or more direct reports
* Proficient in troubleshooting desktop/laptop computers, mobile devices, Microsoft Windows, Office 365, macOS, VMware Workspace ONE, and other desktop applications
* Skilled in using remote support tools for diagnosing and resolving issues
* Available for after-hours and weekend on-call support as needed
* Strong communication (written and verbal), organizational, presentation, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and management levels
* Self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented; comfortable working with numerical data and spreadsheet formulas
* Less than 10% travel required
* Must effectively interact with several different personalities and levels of management
* Must be self-motivated, resourceful, reliable, and trustworthy
* Accuracy with numbers and ability to utilize mathematical formulas within spreadsheets is required

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
