What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position (please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis)?
Analyze healthcare-related data to support business decision-making and CMS federal reporting including but not limited to CMS 64/21 reports. Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using SQL and other BI tools. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and recommend technical solutions. Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all reports and analyses. Perform data profiling and validation to identify data anomalies. Document data processes and maintain technical documentation. Provide regular project updates to customers and maintain strong communication. Mentor junior team members and provide technical training as needed. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices. Perform additional duties as required to support project and organizational goals.
What skills/attributes are required (please be detailed as to number of years of experience for each skill)?
5+ years of healthcare business analysis experience supporting business initiatives through data analysis, writing business requirements and user acceptance testing of various systems 5+ years of SQL development, including performance tuning. 3+ years of experience working with State Medicaid and CHIP agencies on CMS federal reporting or demonstrated ability to quickly acquire business domain knowledge. Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients. Bachelor s or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related STEM field. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong team collaboration and adaptability.
What skills/attributes are preferred (what will set a candidate apart)?
Experience in developing Adult/Child Core Measures, HEDIS, CHIPRA or similar quality metrics Experience with healthcare-related data systems. Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
