RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is looking for a Network Engineer II for a partially onsite, direct hire opportunity in Kansas City, MO.
Summary:
The role of the Network Engineer II is to ensure the operational stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video, and wireless network services. This is achieved by planning, designing, and developing local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization. In addition, the Engineer will participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field and/or a combination of related work experience
* 5+ years of experience of work experience in a multi-site, multi-organization configuration in the capacity of a senior or lead network engineer
* Ability to convey ideas clearly and communicate effectively with stakeholders and management
* Demonstrated leadership in driving a culture of continuous network improvement and Innovation
* Knowledge of current IT network Infrastructure protocols and standards, including OSI, and ITIL
* Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security
Knowledge of and experience with:
* LAN, WAN, WLAN, and WWAN design and implementation
* Network segmentation using VLANs, ACLs, and other technologies
* Firewall management, including management of rules, & VPN tunnels
* Provisioning, managing, and supporting network aspects of Hybrid Cloud environments
* Cybersecurity awareness, security response, and routine network patching processes
* Application & Server network support experience with Microsoft technologies
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
