Join our National Programs Business Intelligence Systems & Applications Operating Unit, where you will support the SITE III BES contract. This involves orchestrating, sustaining, and evolving a portfolio of applications that enhance critical administrative services for the Defense Intelligence Agency's global workforce.

Position Description:

As a MongoDB Database Administrator at Peraton, you will have a pivotal role in driving our mission forward. Your responsibilities will include:

Performing MongoDB administration activities, including the installation and maintenance of database management software and the design and implementation of predictive analysis.

Leading the way in installing, configuring, provisioning, operating, and administering database management systems and related software on cutting-edge hardware platforms.

Designing, monitoring, and maintaining production MongoDB databases while ensuring the highest levels of data availability.

Contributing to the development and implementation of database policies and procedures, including crucial software updates, to maintain data integrity and availability.

Collaborating regularly with the development team, business, and operations teams to ensure the security and confidentiality of data.

Taking ownership of the availability, reliability, and integrity of mission-critical business data stored in production databases.

Qualifications

Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD

Required Qualifications:

TS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a poly
Must have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field of study and 8 or more years of relevant experience. An additional 4 years experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
A minimum 8 years of experience with database administration
3+ years Mongo DB experience
Active Security+ (DoD 8570 Baseline certification for IAT Lvl 2)
Experience in database monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and high availability strategies for Mongo DB
Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database performance issues
Experience with implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)
Experience with Mongo DB backup and recovery strategies
Experience with Linux and/or Microsoft Windows Operating System
Experience with data migration
Independently able to employ multiple database backup strategies
Ability to work closely with system admins and ISSO on applicaiton upgrades, documentation and STIG remediation
Experience writing queries for data retrieval
Desired Qualifications:

Familiar with SQL Server and/or Oracle databases
Familiar with Amazon Web Services (AWS)/Cloud environment
Ability to design, develop, and document technical solutions, standard operating procedures, and change requests.
Experience with capacity planning, utilization, and performance monitoring (Index, Table, Queries, and Stored procedures).
Familiar with writing queries to generate system data reports, modify data as necessary, etc.
Experience in database design and development
Experience architecting, designing, developing, and managing databases

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
