#1877 Retail System Administrator
Position Summary:
The LOS Retail System Administrator is a mid-level technical specialist responsible for supporting, configuring, and improving the retail loan origination platform. Key responsibilities include rule/workflow configuration, partner integration support, and troubleshooting live system issues. The ideal candidate will have prior system administration experience and a strong understanding of the consumer vehicle lending origination process. This role has a direct impact on the efficiency and success of lending operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with both the Retail and Agile Project Teams to ensure system capabilities align with business requirements.
- Maintain in-depth expertise in the retail loan origination platform, including configuration, workflows, and integration points.
- Independently handle system changes, configuration updates, reviews, and production support with limited oversight.
- Document system changes, maintain accurate records, and contribute to code/system review processes to ensure accuracy and business alignment.
- Contribute to QA efforts by reviewing test scenarios, identifying coverage gaps, and providing insights during testing cycles.
- Ensure business processes comply with regulatory and operational standards.
- Design and maintain custom system integrations, including scripting logic and calculations using JavaScript or similar.
- Act as the technical lead when the Senior Administrator is unavailable, ensuring continuity in communication and support.
- Provide second-level support for internal and external users, resolving moderate system issues through effective analysis and collaboration.
- Perform other related tasks as needed.
Qualifications and Competencies
Required Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in Credit/Funding within the consumer vehicle lending industry.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a System Configuration Analyst (or similar position) supporting lending systems in a related financial environment.
- At least 1 year of experience working in Agile/Scrum settings.
- JavaScript knowledge
- LOS (Loan Origination experience)
- API Schema Design (REST, SOAP)
- At least 1 year of experience working in Agile/Scrum settings.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Skills Required:
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Skilled in documenting business logic and configuration setups.
- Intermediate experience using JIRA or equivalent tools.
- Ability to write logic and calculations within a loan origination system.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative work style.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience as a team lead in credit or funding operations within a consumer lending environment is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of API integrations/schema designs and interfacing techniques is a plus (REST, SOAP)
- XML and XPATH, experience with process mapping tools such as Visio/MIRO/Nintex
