Project Controls /Business Analyst

Position Description

This position is located in our Houston, Texas office with work performed at client site in Houston, Texas; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.


Key Responsibilities:

Time Writing Management: Oversee the accurate entry and tracking of time writing in SAP, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
Cost Reporting: Generate and analyze cost reports related to time writing entries, providing insights to project managers and stakeholders.
Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and provide regular financial reports.
Performance Analysis: Analyze project performance data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and present detailed reports to project managers and stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project objectives are met.
Training and Support: Provide training and support to team members on SAP functionalities related to time writing and cost reporting.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in project controls, with a focus on SAP Time Writing and cost reporting.
Proficient with SharePoint
Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP, especially in modules related to time writing and cost management. Familiarity with project management tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is a plus.
Certifications: PMP, PMI-SP, or equivalent certifications are preferred.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in the construction, oil and gas, or infrastructure sectors.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
