Job Summary

As a Systems Administrator, the candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining UCL IT systems to ensure optimal performance and security. The candidate's expertise will be crucial in supporting our Windows and Linux environments, managing various applications, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. The candidate will install new software releases and system upgrades, evaluate and install patches, and resolve software related problems. The candidate will perform system backups and recovery and will maintain data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity.

  • Manage and support operating systems.
  • Configure and manage web servers.
  • Administer and maintain Active Directory services.
  • Support and manage cloud storage solutions.
  • Administer and support survey software.
  • Manage and support secure password management.
  • Utilize Campus resources by deploying and managing cloud computing technologies.
  • Administer virtual machines for system support.
  • Endpoint management and security.
  • Implement and manage Privileged Access Management.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) with at least 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Preferences

Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role. Strong knowledge of Windows Servers and Linux OS. Experience with web server management. Proficiency in Active Directory administration. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Hands-on experience with cloud computing technologies.
