Senior Oracle PL/SQL Engineer

Position Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic member to join our team. As a consultant you will join an Engineering team that focuses on building solutions supporting the common data needs of Financial Services business. You will have to develop a good understanding of the data, products, and applications. You will be responsible for collecting requirements, analyzing data, conducting impact assessments, and building scalable and innovative solutions.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement complex database solutions using PL/SQL (Stored Procedures, Packages, Functions, Cursors, Transactions, Triggers)
Optimize database performance through indexing strategies and query tuning
Ensure data integrity and accuracy through robust error handling techniques
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate data requirements into technical solutions
Troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues
Participate in code reviews and adhere to coding standards
Integrate with Java APIs (a plus)
Actively participate in the agile development process (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives)
Deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget
Effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and management.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
10+ years of experience as an Oracle/PLSQL developer
Strong understanding of relational and transactional databases, including Star Schema design
Proven experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and Test Automation methodologies
Hands-on experience in database analysis, design, and development
Experience with Java APIs is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

This role must be located at the following locations: Durham NC, Merrimack NH, Boston MA, Knoxville TN

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $94,500 -$145,400.
