Position Overview
Far Ridgeline Engagements LLC, a Qinetiq US company, is seeking an Cyber Analyst, Mid-Level in Elkridge, MD who is able to perform analysis of specialized and/or technical data, make assessments and recommendations and prepares documentation related to associated data and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Support network scanning to identify security vulnerabilities and intrusion detection parameters
- Support the implementation of Industrial/Physical security systems assessments and inspections based on regulations and industry standards - new DOD FIPS 201-2 standards, and NIST 800-53
- Perform cyber research/analysis of cyber threats and events and evaluates information/physical security systems and practices
- Provide integrated cyber Intelligence/cyber-technical analytic expertise
- Support policy, procedural, and technical documentation development
- Knowledge of the ISC standard: Risk Management Process for Federal Facilities: Design Basis Threat.
Required Qualifications
- TS/SCI with CI Poly or ability to pass one #qinetiqclearedjob
- BS in an IT-related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in cyber analytics
- Possess a working knowledge of tying together the considerations and capabilities of the Internet of Things and physical security systems on federal enterprise systems
- Experience with improving processes focused on the integration of CI and cyber investigations
- Experience with managing network security, identity and access management
- Experience with understanding, engaging, and determining system safety, performance, and reliability
- Experience with federal security regulations, standards, and business processes including FISMA, DOD FIPS-201-2, and NIST 800-53
- Experience with the NIST Risk Management framework
- Experience developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) by translating technical information and guidance into standard operating procedures
- Knowledge of the information security risk assessment process.
- Knowledge of Computer Network Defense and vulnerability assessment tools, including open source tools, and their capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous federal consulting experience preferably within a law enforcement agency
- Possess one of the following certifications: Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Security +, and/or Network +
