Location : San Jose, CA (Onsite)

Detailed Job Description:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform in production environments
  • Strong experience with policy-as-code tools like Sentinel, OPA, or Conftest.
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform), especially IAM, networking, and compute services.
  • Proficient with Git and managing Terraform code in GitOps workflows
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar).
  • Familiarity with Terraform Cloud/Enterprise features like run tasks, RBAC, variable sets
  • Experience implementing security, governance, and compliance policies in cloud environments.
  • Ability to review IaC (Infrastructure as a Code) templates (Terraform, CloudFormation) from a security standpoint.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform across AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform.
  • Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules, state management, and remote backends.
  • Implement policy-as-code using Sentinel, OPA (Open Policy Agent), or custom policy frameworks to enforce security, compliance, and operational standards.
  • Integrate Terraform with CI/CD pipelines to enable automated infrastructure deployments.
  • Manage Terraform Cloud/Enterprise workspaces, variable sets, and RBAC policies.
  • Collaborate with security, DevOps, and development teams to ensure infrastructure meets all internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct code reviews, enforce IaC best practices, and ensure version control with Git
  • .Define and maintain documentation for infrastructure processes, modules, and policies.
  • Perform drift detection, state locking, and manage multi-environment strategies using tools like Terragrunt.
  • Stay current with cloud infrastructure trends, IaC tooling, and security best practices.

Generic Managerial Skills, If any:

  • Experience with Terragrunt or managing complex multi-account/multi-environment setups.
  • Hands-on with Vault, Secrets Manager, or other secret management systems.
  • Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Expert).
  • Exposure to Kubernetes and managing infrastructure for containerized environments
  • Experience with tools like Checkov, TFLint, Terraform Compliance, or Terratest.

Must skills:
