Application Support Analyst

• This position is for a Production support team member who will primarily be responsible to ensure the applications are available all the time(always ON) and respond to reports of application being down. The applications are of many flavors. As part of this responsibility the candidate will be required, but not limited to understanding the architecture of the applications, maintain recovery procedures, maintain proper monitoring, up to date patches, documentation, etc

• Must have at least 5 years of some experience with developing/supporting .NET/Java applications/Angular applications.
• Must be proficient in writing queries in SQL server 2012+/Oracle 11g+
• Must have some experience with OpenShift/Docker/other container technology.

• Experience with /MongoDB/Postgress/Redis preferred
• Must have ability to investigate apps hosted on IIS/Windows server.
• Must have ability to investigate apps hosted on Apache/Tomcat/Linux server.
• Must have ability to query Splunk/Dynatrace/other monitoring tool as part of investigating an issue.
• Must have experience reading and interpreting log files/windows event viewer logs/System.out, etc. to investigate issues.

• Job Description:

As part of this responsibility the candidate will be required, but not limited to understanding the architecture of the applications, maintain recovery procedures, maintain proper monitoring, up to date patches, documentation, etc. This candidate will follow our incident management procedures to triage production incident and work with various teams within the bank to facilitate always ON model of the application availability. Must have good communication skills. The candidate is expected to demonstrate critical thinking, good analytical skills, and a self-motivated personality to debug and solve problems.
• Required Skills:
• Must have at least 5 years of some experience with developing/supporting .NET/Java applications/Angular applications.

• BMC Remedy ITSM experience is a plus.

• Resourcefulness & thinking on the feet.
