What You Will Achieve
This position is accountable for maintenance and reliability engineering activities involving the design, installation, maintenance, and repair of utilities systems, buildings, and production and non-production equipment. This position develops and implements reliability methods to ensure safe operation and high equipment reliability/availability, cost effective maintenance, a continuous improvement culture, and regulatory compliance. These methods include work management best-practices, predictive technology deployment, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), equipment criticality analysis, and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).

What You Will Achieve

How You Will Achieve It
Reliability Excellence:
- Supports site Global Reliability Program (GRP) implementation, management, and execution.
- Develops and maintains GRP strategy-related documents and reports.
- Responsible for ranking and maintaining asset criticality.
- Develops equipment maintenance plans based on Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and asset criticality.
- Equipment maintenance plans include both predictive and preventive maintenance tasks applied at the appropriate frequency.
- Identifies and implements predictive maintenance technologies and oversees program effectiveness.
- Manages predictive maintenance equipment.
- Technologies include vibration analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasonic technology, oil analysis, and motor circuit analysis.
- Conducts equipment maintenance evaluations to optimize maintenance strategy with regard to preventive and predictive maintenance tasks, overhaul/replacement tasks, and surveillance activities.
- Provides technical analysis and trouble-shooting assistance for facility process, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Facilitates RCFA and ensures the root cause/causal factors are identified, corrective actions prescribed, and follow-up monitoring conducted as applicable, to determine effectiveness.
- Supports GRP site audits on a periodic and as needed basis.
- Assists developing SOPs and process operations for core Facilities Maintenance competencies.
- With emphasis on equipment reliability, participates in the planning, design review, value management, and construction document development of new facilities and renovations.
- Supports utility distribution, master planning, and business continuity planning.
- Provides reliability maintenance input to project development to help create designs which minimize life-cycle costs.
- Performs life-cycle financial modeling of developed technical solutions.
- Constructs detailed technical proposals and draft bid documents as applicable.
- Supports site design and construction standards for manufacturing assets, utility assets, and infrastructure assets.
- Supports commissioning activities for all upgrade, renovation, and construction projects which may include, but is not limited to, PM job plans, reviews for maintainability, critical spares, documentation, etc.
- Provides design comments and ongoing representation at job-meetings, scheduling equipment operation training by vendors, coordinating punch-list preparation and centralizing document turnover to major projects.
- Provides a thorough review of all project's turnover documentation for incorporation into the archives.
- Provides technical and practical assistance to other departments and provides training to less-experienced engineering personnel.
- Keeps abreast of latest technical methods.
- Applies sound engineering practices in all assignments.
- Assures quality and consistency in technical documents/deliverables.
- Conducts materials evaluation and selection programs to ensure proper materials are used.
- Participates on various committees and sub-teams as assigned.
Must-Have
- Applicant must have a High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and 8 years of relevant experience.
- OR an Associate's degree with 6 years of experience.
- OR a Bachelor's with at least 3 years of experience.
- OR Master's with more than 1 year of experience.
- Experience w/predictive maintenance technologies including, but not limited to, vibration analysis, oil analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasound and motor current analysis.
- Experience w/ Root Cause Failure Analysis, Equipment Criticality Ranking, PM/PdM optimization, and/or Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of cGMP.
- Demonstrated ability to upgrade or direct technical aspects of equipment design, installation, start-up, troubleshooting, and repair, or to obtain appropriate outside services to accomplish same.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimum self-direction.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to actively lead and/or participate in fact-based decision making and problem solving.
- Exceptions may be considered where relevant skills/experience and correct attitude, and behaviors exist (this may be supplemented by further education in parallel).
- Experience working in the Pharma industry.
