- Lead and support large-scale environment builds (e.g., 40+ environments in 6 months), including planning, tracking, and cross-team coordination.
- Drive automation for provisioning, configuration, deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
- Integrate and administer observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, Azure Monitor) and central logging solutions.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Pulumi, and related tools.
- Manage Kubernetes clusters (managed environments), including deployment tooling (Helm, ArgoCD, Flux, cdk8s).
- Collaborate with product, SWE, InfoSec, and vendor teams to define and enforce clear RASCI models and ownership boundaries.
- Implement and improve operational tooling, frameworks, and self-healing systems.
- Automate alerts for performance, cost, vulnerabilities, risk, and compliance.
- Support on-call rotations and respond to production incidents.
- Ensure compliance with security standards (encryption, PKI, IAM, OWASP) and support audit evidence collection.
- Champion continuous improvement, process automation, and adoption of new technologies.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years in a cloud engineering or SRE role.
- Deep hands-on experience with Azure and AWS (other cloud providers a plus).
- Expert in Kubernetes cluster setup, management, and troubleshooting (managed environments only).
- Proficient with IaC tools (Terraform, Pulumi).
- Experience with Kubernetes deployment tools (Helm, ArgoCD, Flux, cdk8s).
- Strong networking and internet protocol knowledge.
- Understanding of IAM, encryption, PKI, and security best practices.
- Experience supporting production cloud infrastructure and on-call operations.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Azure Monitor, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus).
- Proficient with Git and modern IDEs (e.g., VS Code).
- Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Experience leading environment migrations and large-scale build-outs.
- Track record of learning and adopting new tools and technologies.
- Experience with compliance, audit support, and regulated environments.
- Familiarity with RASCI modeling and cross-functional project leadership.
What Success Looks Like:
- Rapid, reliable delivery of new environments and platforms.
- High automation coverage and minimal manual intervention.
- Strong security posture and audit readiness.
- Clear ownership and accountability across teams.
- Proactive identification and resolution of operational risks.
