Job Details

Solution IT Inc. is looking for Oracle Cloud Project Manager for one of its clients in Houston, TX (Hybrid - 3 days/week Onsite)

Job Title: Oracle Cloud Project Manager

Summary:

Our O&G client will be breaking ground on their ERP Transformation program in the near future, having made the decision to implement Oracle Cloud/Fusion (legacy ERP is Oracle EBS I believe). They are currently going through a Phase 0 phase to prepare for the implementation and select their primary SI.
The client is seeking a Client-Side Project Manager to work on their behalf, collaborating closely with the selected SI (likely in a "box buddy" arrangement). The PM will be responsible for overseeing project execution, tracking progress, managing risks and issues, and delivering regular status updates to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update the project plan, ensuring timelines and milestones are met.
  • Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues.
  • Prepare and deliver status reports to executive and stakeholder audiences.
  • Coordinate closely with the SI project team to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
  • Act as the client-side point of contact for project governance and escalation.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience working with Jira and Atlassian tools, with a focus on reporting for large, complex technology projects.
  • Proven expertise in designing reporting solutions using tools like eazyBI, Power BI, Tableau, or similar, with an emphasis on project performance and progress tracking.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Python) and REST API integrations for project data aggregation.
  • Familiarity with database management (SQL, NoSQL) and data warehousing for project-related analytics.
  • Deep expertise in Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence, with a focus on project management use cases.
  • Proficiency in Atlassian Marketplace apps for reporting and analytics (e.g., eazyBI, Structure, Arsenal Data).
  • Advanced knowledge of JQL (Jira Query Language) for creating complex queries to monitor project progress and performance.
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and data visualization best practices tailored to project management.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based Atlassian deployments and hybrid environments.
Required Skills:
  • Project Management: Proven experience managing ERP transformation projects, preferably Oracle Cloud/Fusion implementations.
  • O&G / Midstream Experience: Broad exposure to the midstream sector is highly desirable.
  • Implementation Partner Experience: Prior experience collaborating with Systems Integrators on ERP implementations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
