Title: Hardware Electrical Engineer

Position Summary:
We are looking for a Hardware (Electrical) Engineer with 3 - 7 years of hands-on experience in hardware design and development. The ideal candidate will be a local professional who can code, follow direction from senior engineers, and contribute effectively to project teams. This is a full-time, onsite, contract-to-hire opportunity in North Carolina.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop robust hardware systems from architecture through productization
Support electrical hardware and/or firmware activities across various projects
Create custom PCB schematics and layouts using Altium Designer
Perform wiring, component selection, simulation, documentation, and hardware testing
Interface with customers and manufacturers to ensure timely delivery and quality output
Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineers on new product designs
Use test and diagnostic tools including oscilloscopes, meters, and prototyping equipment
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering
3 - 7 years of industry experience in hardware product development
Proficiency in embedded systems design and peripheral interfacing (UART, SPI, I2C, USB)
Experience with Altium Designer for PCB development
Strong understanding of electrical hardware architecture and test plan development
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
Experience in high-speed digital interface design (DDR2/DDR3, PCIe, Gigabit Ethernet)
Exposure to firmware development
Familiarity with Signal Integrity analysis and simulation
FPGA design experience using VHDL or SystemVerilog
