Azure Architect Long-Term Contract

Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid 3 days onsite per week)

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Architect for a long-term contract role supporting Microsoft s uplift program. The successful candidate will have hands-on expertise in Microsoft Purview, Intune, Defender, Entra ID, and Copilot, and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable and secure cloud solutions that align with business objectives and industry best practices.

Please Note:

  • Must be local to the Dallas, TX area
  • Must be able to work onsite 3 days per week (hybrid role)
  • Long-term contract (no C2C or third-party vendors)
  • Must be able to work on a W2

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and design end-to-end Azure solutions in line with the Azure Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework
  • Advise stakeholders and translate business needs into secure, scalable, and cost-effective Azure designs
  • Collaborate with developers, administrators, security engineers, and data engineers to ensure compatibility, compliance, and performance
  • Implement and manage Microsoft Purview for data governance and compliance
  • Deploy and support Microsoft Intune for device and endpoint management
  • Leverage Microsoft Copilot to enhance productivity while ensuring governance and data security
  • Develop automation scripts using PowerShell and Python for infrastructure provisioning and operations
  • Conduct architecture reviews, performance tuning, and cost optimization
  • Maintain architecture documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in IT, with at least 3 years in a cloud architecture role
  • Strong expertise across Azure services: Compute, Networking, Storage, Identity, Security
  • Hands-on experience with Purview, Intune, Copilot, PowerShell, and Python
  • Proven ability to design hybrid cloud integrations and ensure data integrity/security
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification (preferred)

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA)
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bicep, or ARM templates
