Job Description

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Accountabilities
  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

In addition to technical execution, you'll also provide operational support and drive enhancement to ensure consistent service excellence.

To be successful as a Mobile Backend Developer, you should have experience with:
  • Java and Spring boot to design and implement scalable RESTful APIs and microservices that support mobile applications
  • Proficiency in handling dependency injection, security (authentication/ authorization), and efficient data handling
  • Experience with aPaaS environments, overseeing cloud deployments, and using Docker for containerization
  • Knowledge of Apache Ignite to implement distributed caching and in-memory data grids that significantly boost performance for Mobile applications
  • Skills in ensuring low latency data access and seamless scalability

Some other highly valued skills may include:
  • Background in developing internet-facing applications or services
  • Mastery of continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines to automate testing, integration, and delivery processes
  • Familiarity with tools that support DevOps practices, ensuring rapid iteration, reliability, and smooth production deployment cycle
  • Experience with AWS

Minimum Salary $75,000

Maximum Salary $135,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
