Job Title: Workday HCM Functional Consultant Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid) Duration: Full Time
Job Description:
- We are seeking an experienced Workday HCM Functional Consultant to support the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Workday Human Capital Management modules.
- The ideal candidate will have deep functional expertise in Workday HCM, strong understanding of HR business processes, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders to deliver end-to-end HR solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday HCM modules (Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Time Tracking, Recruiting, Talent, Learning, etc.).
- Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into functional Workday configurations.
- Work closely with HR, Payroll, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration across modules and systems.
- Develop functional documentation including business requirements, configuration workbooks, test scripts, and training materials.
- Perform system testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for new enhancements and releases.
- Support ongoing Workday releases, updates, and tenant management.
- Provide post-implementation support, troubleshoot issues, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and system optimization.
- Advise HR and business leaders on Workday best practices and configuration options.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in human resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3 7 years of hands-on experience with Workday HCM Functional configuration and support.
- Strong understanding of HR processes including employee lifecycle, organization structure, compensation, benefits, and absence management.
- Experience in Workday Core HCM and at least one additional module (Recruiting, Compensation, Absence, Benefits, etc.).
- Ability to write and execute test cases, perform data validation, and manage defects.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Workday certification(s) preferred (e.g., Workday HCM Core, Workday Compensation, etc.).
