What You Will Do :
We are currently searching for a Facilities Management Assistant to independently provide support services to satisfy the overall operational objectives of the Office of Research Facilities, RML. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Hamilton, MT.
  • Consolidate AutoCAD and Revit drawings for each building on campus with the following components: Architectural, Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Controls, Site Utilities, Structural, Civil, Communication, Code Summaries, etc.
  • Assist NIH personnel with creating CAD standards, file structures, standard plot files and creating block and family libraries.
  • Interface with building maintenance personnel to correct a wide range of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and facility problems. Receive, triage, and coordinate incoming requests for facility maintenance including work orders for facility repairs.
  • Work with staff on tracking requests for new space or change in space assignment using a software program. Assist with surveying space areas and records location and use of all phone and LAN outlets.
  • Work with laboratory groups, architects and move management teams to ensure that the needs of the scientists are met and that the move is performed in an orderly manner.
  • Produce reports regarding space occupancy and space utilization by preparing, maintaining, and updating databases, spreadsheets to indicate space use types and square footage.


What You Will Need :
  • Associate's degree
  • At least ONE (1) year of construction or facility planning experience.
  • Proficiency with construction planning tools such as REVIT or AutoCAD


What Would Be Nice To Have :
  • Ability to plan execute office relocation and space acquisition, oversight of building projects, renovations, or refurbishments.
  • Need to be well-organized and pay attention to details.
