Position: Cloud Automation Engineer with IaC Exp
Location: Minneapolis, MN(Hybrid 1-2 days a week)
Duration: 6+ month contract role

We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automations, specifically using Ansible and Terraform. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in creating and managing IaC solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and frameworks using Ansible and Terraform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement automation solutions that enhance infrastructure efficiency and reliability.
- Manage and optimize existing IaC deployments, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and compliant with industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation scripts and infrastructure deployments.
- Continuously improve automation processes by integrating new tools and technologies.
- Document automation processes, configurations, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in creating and managing IaC automations using Ansible and Terraform.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Comfortable with existing on-prem solutions (SCCM, Nutanix, VMWare, PowerShell)
- Strong proficiency with modernizing automated IaC solutions on-prem and cloud.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
